How to buy a car while in med school with no actual paycheck?

I’m going to be starting Med School in August. My car’s becoming a “money pit” car, so to speak. So I would really like to get a good used car (around the 8,000 range).

I would like to put some down, and then make payments, and my loans will certainly enable that. Problem is, how do I actually get that loan, since soon I’ll have no actual paycheck to speak of.

Any advice? Thank you!

You’ll almost definitely need a co-signer. Proof of income (and no, student loans don’t count) is essential.

Why would a spouse need to provide sensitive information on a small business loan?

Why would a spouse need to provide sensitive information (banking statements / paycheck stubs ) if only one person would be on the loan?

10 points to best answer!

Please be thorough

What would keep you from giving your spouse the big paycheck, moving assets, etc, and then later on filing business bankruptcy? Most likely both will have to sign the loan. Another would be so that they can see whether your family income is adequate for the bills, whether you both have good credit, etc.
